I found a Blueberry Oatmeal Muffin recipe that I love! And they are a nutritious breakfast, low in calories and low in fat, and delicious!
I want to share it with you!
I found this recipe for Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins; tweaked it a bit and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
These Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins my answer to a yummy, quick breakfast that isn’t full of sugar and fat. I only started eating breakfast a few years ago when I read, over and over again, how important it is in weight loss. In the past, I have had a hard time finding something to eat that I enjoy for breakfast.
Since I was young, I have had breakfast issues.
You see, I don’t like eggs. I know!
Preferring something quick for breakfast and always trying to be more healthy (on a diet, duh!), I have tried protein bars and even though I like them, they usually are full of things I don’t need.
The Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins are just the ticket.
There is a granola that I love. I enjoy eating it with blackberries and raspberries. I soon discovered it full of sugar. I searched for other granola options but discovered more sugar. And I even tried Grape Nuts. Yule Gibbons lied. I tried eating them for a week but gave up.
And, I don’t like oatmeal. Too mushy. (Except overnight oats!)
Greek yogurt is great for breakfast, with berries. Basically, I love berries. But I needed another option.
Then I found this recipe.
To make them tastier to me, I tweaked the Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins recipe I found and I am so excited to finally discover a breakfast that I enjoy. No added sugar, except naturally from the berries—and a small amount of dark chocolate. (smirk)
These muffins call my name in the morning—I now crave them. They taste more like a dessert to me.
These Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins have no flour. No sugar. In fact, they only have oatmeal, berries, egg, vanilla and milk. Kinda.
As a bonus, I add about five morsels of 53% Cacao dark chocolate to each muffin. I add them to the top before I put them in the oven.(there’s the dessert part!)

I am always watching my weight (go up and down) and I try (try!) to eat healthy. Try.
They taste like a cobbler to me. (okay, so I add a little smidge of butter on top before heating them!) I said try!
I eat these for breakfast, a snack, or even dessert. And, I eat the muffins for lunch, too.
They are best right out of the oven…with that smidge of butter I was telling you about. And a sprinkling of sea salt.
In my tweaking, I discovered if you put a bit of sea salt on top, it brightens up the Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins and they are even better, if that is possible!
Did I mention I love berries? I add blackberries to each muffin also, and I believe this is why they taste like a cobbler to me. I push a few in each muffin before I put them in the oven.
(NOTE–I also don’t like bananas. There are two ripe bananas in the recipe, but you can’t taste them. If you don’t like bananas, don’t let this scare you off!)
Here’s the recipe! Hope you enjoy!
And don’t forget the sprinkling of sea salt!
Enjoy!! I hope for you many mornings full of muffins!
love and blessings~dd
