Participating in a challenge of any type, calls for you to search deep within yourself, for ways to complete the challenge. You must decide you will go forth, go through and not quit. This writing challenge has been just that–a challenge.
But I will prevail, I will go forth, I will write 31 days in October.
Defined as, “a call to take part of a fight, as a battle, a duel, or a difficult task or problem.” This #write31days is definitely a challenge. I can’t relax; I am always contemplating what I will write about the next day.
Hitting publish is a triumph everyday. For about an hour. And then, it is back to, “what will I write about tomorrow?”
I have successfully written fourteen blogs in fourteen days, this being my half way point at fifteen blogs.
Mentally tired and weary. Not from the writing itself, because I love to write and doing so everyday is t as much of a challenge as blogging everyday.
There is so much more to blogging. You have to edit the pictures perfectly for social media marketing. You have to write for SEO, search engine optimization. You have to worry about word count, categories, tags, titles, external links internal links. Am I boring you yet? It bores me a bit. But all this has to be perfect in order for the blog post to be successful.
“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” -L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
Enough of that–lets talk fall. Thirty-One Days Of Fall Feels is the title and subject of my blog series.

October One had me excited for pumpkins so naturally, I wrote about the round orbs that I love so much three months out of twelve, on Day One.
On the second day of October, I reposted an article that I wrote for The Every Girl Journal about pumpkin farming and what I learned about nature. This was the year I really fell in love with pumpkins and this was the day, Day Two, I wrote about it.
The third blog post in the writing challenge was about fall, but how fall weather and the spirit of fall feels. I felt it in New York City on fall evening and I will never forget how it made me feel. Read about NY and fall feels on Day Three.
The fourth day in this glorious month, my parents came to town to spend the day with us. Tired from the day, so on Day Four, I wrote a short, but sweet, blog post about our day AND CUPCAKES!!
Because we went to the silos with my parents, on Day Five, I wrote about how wonderful Fall At Magnolia Market is and why you should visit. The silos are wonderful anytime (except the heat of the summer!) but pumpkin cupcakes is a great reason to visit, right?
Day Six was also a short post. I list ten of my favorite fall quotes!

Day Ten had me wanting to snuggle and get cozy in my fall blankets! Do you decorate with blankets?
My new favorite color of pumpkins are white! They go with everything and give your décor a PoP inside and out! Day Eleven was all about white pumpkins! With pumpkins, white is the new orange!
On Day Twelve, I took a slight turn from fall and fall feels. I had a new front door installed and it had my all sidetracked. There are pumpkins in a lot of the pictures. Read about my new happy door here!
Have you ever explored your own city? Found new places to experience? Fall is a great time to do this and I highly suggest it. You don’t need to travel, you can explore at home! Day Thirteen gives you ideas to get you exploring your own city.
And then we come to Day Fourteen. I remember and look back on fun days of trick-or-treating with our kids in our neighborhood with all our friends. Fun times. I love memories of Halloween past.
So that takes us to today, Day Fifteen, the recap post.
