Waco: Visit Our Waco, a small urban town

Waco. Wacotown. It has a new place on the map. The map of destinations. People are actually traveling here. To see Waco. Visiting our Waco. It is getting recognition. Some good. Some bad. But we, as Wacoans, are getting noticed. And, everyone knows Magnolia is playing a large part. Baylor, good and bad, has also played a part in the notoriety.

I was blessed, as a journalist, and as a fangirl, to be invited to the media event last year, when Magnolia Market opened. I was able to interview JoJo and was blessed to bring Cameron, my daughter, along to photograph everything.

I also was lucky to be a guest photographer and Instagramer, called a baton photographer, for the ilovetexasphoto Instagram account. I was looking at Pinterest one day and I was shocked to find my article for Culture Trip had been pinned 1,8K times! I am proud of this article.  It was one of my first and of course–it is about visiting our Waco!

This was a ohhh-mmmm-geeee moment for me!

My husband and I recently moved about two minutes from downtown, in the Castle Heights neighborhood. We are enjoying being so close to all the new growth and commerce.

I am a contributing writer for Waco Moms Blog.  I recently wrote an article about the food trucks in Waco.  If you plan on visiting our small urban town, I highly recommend trying some street-eats at one (or more) of our many food trucks.  I love writing for Waco Moms Blog because I love writing about Waco!
