It’s that time of year! The holidays are just around the corner and it’s time to start thinking about all things Christmas! Including Christmas organization for a organized holiday.
Christmas is a time for sharing, and I am sharing with you my friend, Anna Kat. She is an interior designer and a wonderful blogger of all things home décor.
She is going to share with you her Christmas organization tips. Organize your décor–Christmas trees, ornaments, and life–and you will have a happier and merrier Christmas!
Anna Kat is guest blogging for me about holiday organization. She will give you great tips and links to get your Christmas organized this year. I wrote an article for her last year about visiting Magnolia Market.
I hope you enjoy this guest post, I kinda think you will! Also, I hope it helps you get Christmas organized. And please, check out her blogsite and read her other blogs. You will be happy to follow Anna Kat!
Here is Anna Kat’s guest post–
I have been an interior designer for almost 20 years. Do you think I have racked up a lot of my own décor in that time? Bingo! I’ve also moved seven times in my adult life, so I have figured out the best possible storage options for just about anything.
With the holidays quickly approaching, we will all be getting excited to start pulling out our decorations and, possibly, adding to them. I know I’m guilty of hitting up that 50% off sale at Hobby Lobby!
You may struggle with pulling all kinds of boxes from your basement, closets, and attic. And no one can remember where the wreath ended up. It’s time to get that stuff organized and able to fit in one spot.
Holiday organization is not just about the physical decorations. You also have a mile-long to-do list. Why not make it easier to take care of everything you need to do so you can actually enjoy the holidays this year?
IT’S ORNAMENTAL
These totes from The Container Store are my new favorite thing! For years I have used the plastic ornament bins which work fine. But now, I’m loving this easy to carry tote. There is a handle on the side and – my favorite part – a space to store all my holiday floral picks and sprigs, so they don’t get crushed!
RIBBONS, PAPERS, AND BOWS!
You probably have a closet full of wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows. By the time you find the bows, they’re crushed, and the paper has gotten torn. I love this gift wrap storage bag because it slides right under your bed! It holds everything you need and keeps it all in one place.
HOLIDAY RECIPES: THE NUTS AND BOLTS
Hosting a holiday get together can be stressful. It’s particularly stressful when, the night before everyone arrives, you can’t find the recipe for Grandma’s Christmas cookies that everyone is looking forward to eating. Keep your holiday recipes in one spot with this personalized recipe binder.
This binder is also a great gift for your children. Fill it with your family recipes so they can each have a copy.

O, CHRISTMAS TREE
In the years past, my husband and I have dragged the huge BODY BAG (the Christmas tree storage bag, you know the one!) out of storage. It’s cumbersome and difficult.
There may or may not have been some naughty language that would make Santa think twice about coming to our house. Well, not anymore! I am so in love with this rolling tree storage bag! Decorating is so much easier now. Plus, our tree is less likely to get damaged.
“It’s not what’s under the tree that matters. It’s who’s gathered around it.”
Applying these simple organization tips will help you stay focused on what really matters at Christmas – your friends and family. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
