Birthdays are a gift, and I love to give birthday gifts, I have always loved everything about birthdays—celebrating, planning, gifting! Giving and let’s be honest—getting!
Birthday gifts are easy to buy, if you think about the birthday girl’s (or boy’s) heart. I have always told my husband I don’t need anything expensive, buy me something from the heart. In other words, think about what makes me happy. Think about what makes me smile. Think about what I talk about and remember–that is the perfect birthday gift.
Today is my birthday, and I am going to give you a birthday gift list. Not for me, but from me. I am going to list (and link) to a few items I personally love and have, or I would love to have. I bet your birthday girl would love these things, too.
I love birthdays, but I am not loving the amount of candles on my cake this year. Nevertheless, at any age, birthdays are a blessing and should be celebrated. And gifted with love.
These birthday gifts will work for any girl, with eighteen candles or older. Any birthday girl who loves to enjoy life, smell the smells, loves pretty things and loves the simple pleasures of life.

I am not an influencer for this sweet company, but I happen to love this planner. This year for our anniversary, I made Mark a map of the stars from our wedding night. What a special, customized gift this is. These candles cost a bit, but you can smell them. That is important to me. And, they last a bit. You can buy a candle that smells good in the store when you smell it, but if it doesn’t smell good when you burn it then it is a waste of money—no matter what you spent, right?
The candles range from $14-$30 each, and the jars are reusable and are beautiful. I planted a succulent in an old jar. Capri Blue’s main scent is Volcano. They have other flavors, but Volcano is the most popular. I hope you get to smell a Capri Blue someday, in your home hopefully.

Flowers
One of my favorite things in this world is flowers. Flowers make me so happy. Daisy’s to peonies and everything in between. You can buy flowers at your grocery store (I buy myself flowers every week) or your local florist. As much as I love buying local, my favorite flowers are from Farmgirl Flowers. They ship overnight and show up in a beautiful, hip burlap bag from a coffee company. (no deliveries Saturday through Monday!)
But that is nothing compared to the dramatic beauty of the flowers themselves. All grown locally in San Francisco.
