Do you ever wonder why something happened to you? Why did I go that direction? Choose that path? Why did I bump into that person? At that particular time?
I believe those are God moments. I know we have free will but I also believe in His will. He has our lives mapped out for us and I believe He puts certain people in our life for a reason.
If you don’t share my belief you probably have stopped reading this by now. And that is ok.
Certain things have to fall in place for these God moments to happen. Mainly you have to listen and obey.
A long time ago, a man decided to come to Waco, with his family, to open a second restaurant. At that same time, another man started a business in Waco, rather than another state. He moved his family from Ft. Worth to begin this new life. Had these two men not followed these God moments in their life, two couples would not have wed and five Davis kids would not have been born.
I am glad they listened and obeyed.
How many times in life have I not listened?

It makes you think. It definitely makes me think.
“Everything has already been decided. It was known long ago what each person would be. So there’s no use arguing with God about your destiny. ~Ecclesiastes 6:10
I had a God moment today. I met a new friend in a coffee-house in Waco. We met online through a mutual Facebook group for creatives. I have never done anything like this before. I suppose you could call it a “blind-friend-date“. I consider us new friends and hope she does as well. We talked for three and a half hours over coffee about what she does and what I do. I find her very interesting and I can now say I have a friend that is an Emmy award winner. Two times an Emmy award winner! We have writing in common. And God.
This was another one of those “Over the Edge” moments for me as well. She asked to meet for coffee and I stepped out of my comfort zone and said yes. Who am I? I don’t do things like this?
I am thankful I did. I wonder where this new friendship will take us?
I hope for you (and me) more God moments and the ability to listen and be obedient.
love and blessings~dd
